Scarborough have scored six or more goals 11 times this season
Nearly 800 Scarborough fans celebrated the presentation of the Northern Counties East League Division One trophy after the Leeds Carnegie game.
A goalless draw did nothing to subdue the scale of the after-match delight at Bridlington's Queensgate ground.
Athletic chairman Simon Cope told BBC Radio York: "To be in only our second season and to win the title and get promotion is a fantastic feeling."
Dave Hartas was also presented with his player-of-the-season award.
Director James Hunter added: "It's been an unbelievable season, all capped off with the trophy lifting.
"In just 18 months we've come so far, so fast as the new club Scarborough Athletic.
"We don't have any businessmen behind the scenes putting the money in, we all do it together, we're all volunteers.
"We have a supporters club with over 200 members and the trust itself, which runs the club, has over 500 members."
Manager Brian France said: "The fans are fantastic, you feel like you've let them down (by not beating Carnegie), I've never been at a club where I've felt like that."
To see a crowd of nearly 800 is testament to how much football means to people in and around Scarborough

France's side have a league goal difference of plus-95 with one game to go, away at Appleby Frodingham, and reeled off four six-goal league wins in a row mid-season.
"I'm just pleased for the players, the board, everybody," France added, "It's been a fantastic season."
France was less impressed with some of the celebrations: "They're young lads. I always got taught to drink champagne, not to throw it about."
Chairman Cope added: "To see a crowd of nearly 800 (for the Carnegie game) is testament to how much football means to people in and around Scarborough."
Athletic can clinch a double if they beat Nostell on 28 April in the second leg of the President's Cup Final, after drawing the away leg 1-1.
