Truro City are looking for compensation from the Southern League after their game at Thatcham Town was postponed.
City set off for Thatcham early on Saturday in the knowledge that the game was on, but when they arrived in Berkshire the pitch was unplayable.
"When we got there we were amazed to think that they had made us travel all that way up there," City vice chairman Chris Webb told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"One side of the pitch had a lot of heavy frost on."
No date has yet been set for the game to be re-arranged.
Third-placed City's next match is a tough one as they face league leaders Windsor and Eton on Saturday, 10 January at Treyew Road.
