Meredith made his debut against Burscough in October
AFC Telford United boss Rob Smith has secured the services of on-loan Shrewsbury Town defender James Meredith for another month.
Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire: "I know there are Conference clubs who want him, but he loves it here and it's a real coup to keep him.
"Meredith is energetic, good in the air, a good listener and a great pro."
The Australian left-back has shone for Telford, scoring the only goal in the 1-0 win against Gateshead in November.
Telford have lost just once in 11 games since Meredith signed in mid-October - and that was the FA Cup first round replay at League One Southend.
Shrewsbury boss Paul Simpson said: "He's helped Telford on a great run of results, and it's doing him good to be out there playing football."
Meredith, who started his career in Derby County's youth academy, will now stay with the Bucks until the start of January.
And he is expected to feature for fourth-placed Telford in Saturday's crunch Blue Square North clash with table-topping Southport at the New Bucks Head (6 December, 1500 GMT).
