Bloomfield hit 20 goals during King's Lynn's promotion season
King's Lynn have released striker Danny Bloomfield after coming to an "amicable agreement" with the player.
Bloomfield, 26, has started just two league games in the Linnets' first season in Blue Square North so far.
He has slipped behind Jack Defty, Julian Joachim and Michael Frew in the pecking order at the Walks.
Lynn manager Keith Webb has confirmed he is actively looking to sign a new striker to replace Bloomfield, who scored 20 goals last season.
The former Norwich City player had considered quitting the club after they won the Southern League title last term because of the amount of travelling involved in playing at a higher level.
Webb told BBC Radio Norfolk: "We had a good chat about where he wanted to take his football career and I couldn't guarantee a starting place for Danny.
"The performance of the other three strikers have made it difficult for me to give him time on the pitch."
Bloomfield is based near Ipswich and is expected to sign for a club nearer to his home.
