![]() | Wednesday, 10 January, 2001, 15:57 GMT Young striker handed Norwich chance ![]() Nigel Worthington has been impressed by Bloomfield Norwich City have signed teenage striker Danny Bloomfield a professional contract until the end of the season. The 18-year-old Felixstowe and Walton United striker impressed during a three-game trial with City's reserves over Christmas. "We have signed young Danny until the end of the season with a view to extending that time if he does well for us," said new City boss Nigel Worthington. He told the club's official website: "It is a great opportunity for a young lad from a local non-league club and hopefully he will take his chance.
