King's Lynn knocked out of Shield

Julian Joachim scored King's Lynn's first-ever goal in The Setanta Shield

King's Lynn tasted defeat for the first time this season as they were beaten 2-1 by Tamworth in the Setanta Shield.

The Linnets were 2-0 down within the opening 25 minutes of their first ever match in the competition.

A late strike from Julian Joachim gave Lynn hope but they were unable to take the match into extra-time.

Tamworth, whose manager Gary Mills used to be in charge at The Walks, take �1,000 in prize money for progressing to the second round.
