Peterborough defender Adam Smith has rejoined King's Lynn after having his contract at the League One club cancelled by mutual consent.

The 22-year-old has not made a single league or cup appearance this season.

Smith, who had two years left to run on his contract, returns to the newly promoted Blue Square North club, where he was player of the season in 2006.

He played 10 times for Peterborough, scoring just once in a 3-1 defeat away at Darlington in January 2007.
