Clarke dominates to reach semis

Mel Clarke
Clarke is appearing at her first Paralympics

Mel Clarke will face fellow Briton Danielle Borwn in Saturday's archery semi-finals at the Paralympics.

Clarke, from Taverham, beat Pippa Britton 110-106 in Thursday's quarter-finals at the Olympic Green Archery Fields in Beijing.

Consistency was the key for Clarke, who hit the bull four times in her 12 shots, gaining six nine-point hits.

The second of the four ends was pivotal for the Norfolk archer, with Clarke beating her team mate by three points.
