Bath City expect to miss out on the signing of former Bristol City defender Martin Slocombe, with Exeter understood to be interested in him.
The 19-year-old was released at the end of last season, and played in Bath's 2-1 win over Mangotsfield on Tuesday.
Boss John Relish said: "I think he's been contacted by Exeter - but he's with us until something else comes up. I don't know exactly what is happening.
"The lad is desperate to stay in the Football League if he can."
Meanwhile, Bath will take a look at three youngsters from Birmingham City as they try to finalise their squad.
Defender Deneiro Moore and midfielder Tom Ellis will line-up for the club in a friendly against Cinderford, while another Birmingham Academy player Anthony Miller will turn out for the opposition.
Moore, 19, is the nephew of former West Brom and Derby centre back Darren.
"I don't know an awful lot about any of them, but we'll see them in this game and go from there," Relish added.
