City have officially turned down Telford's improved �5,000 offer for their captain.

"It's a dead duck, but that's no surprise," Telford boss Rob Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire. "We'd already turned our attentions elsewhere."

Telford are also trying to finalise details with Macclesfield over striker Michael Husbands, which may turn out to be a long-term loan deal.
