AFC Telford United defender Indy Khela could be back in action next month. Khela was initially expected to be out for the season, but a consultant has said he has recovered sufficiently from a shin fracture to resume training.
"That's great news for Indy and for the club," manager Rob Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire. "Obviously he's missed a couple of months' fitness.
"But I know Indy will work hard to get back into the first team - perhaps in the next two or three weeks."
The news about Khela, an influential man at the back for Telford, comes on top of the bid to get Chris Smith from Worcester now looking a dead duck.
But the Bucks boss is still targeting another defender to strengthen Telford's Blue Square promotion drive.
