Conference favourites Yeovil were rocked by a two-goal blast in the first half, but hit back to share the spoils at home to Gravesend through Terry Skiverton's last-gasp goal.

The visitors took the lead after just four minutes when Mark Bentley netted with a fine left-foot effort from a Paul Sturgess cross.

Yeovil suffered a further setback after 16 minutes as they lost Adam Stansfield to a serious-looking injury and had to replace him with Abdoulai Demba.

To make matters even worse for the home side, they fell further behind just after the half-hour mark.

Steve McKimm's cross found Jimmy Jackson, who made no mistake to fire the ball home and double Gravesend's advantage.

Gravesend were reduced to 10 men in the second half when Sturgess was dismissed for a professional foul.

The visitors found themselves under the cosh after Sturgess' dismissal and Yeovil reduced the deficit when Nick Crittenden drilled the ball home after 66 minutes.

Yeovil continued to pour forward in search of an equaliser as they battered the visitors' defence.

Gravesend seemed to have withstood the continued pressure from the home side but the onslaught eventually told as they were unable to hang on for maximum points.
