Kirk Jackson grabbed a point for Stevenage after the hosts had trailed by two goals at Broadhall Way.

Steve Garvey gave the visitors the lead five minutes before the break when he converted a Gregg Blundell pass, and the former Crewe man also played a part in his side's second goal.

Richard Norris made it 2-0 after 50 minutes with a superb volley after Garvey had sent an outswinging corner into the area.

But Stevenage refused to lie down and their first goal also came from a corner, Jean-Michel Sigere heading home after Jamie Campbell had nodded on Simon Wormull's cross.

Then midway through the second half came the equaliser with Sigere again involved, playing in Jackson to drill the ball home.

Blundell went close to scoring a winner for Northwich but goalkeeper Mark Westhead held his shot, while Jackson almost became even more of a hero to the home fans.

He latched on to a throw-in and struck a left-foot effort which was clutched by Paul Gibson.

The point was the least Stevenage deserved for their possession with Sigere the best player on show, and he could have had another goal but blasted the ball over the crossbar following a cross by Wormull.
