Frederic Kanoute continued his rich vein of goal-scoring form
There were two African goal in Spain at the weekend - scored by Malian striker Frederic Kanoute and Nasief Morris from South Africa.
Kanoute grabbed his 17th goal of what has been another fruitful season in Sevilla's 2-0 win over Villareal.
South African international defender Morris got his first league goal for Recreativo Huelva in spectacular fashion.
He sent home a right-foot volley from an acute angle on the edge of the six-yard box for the winner four minutes into injury time, giving his relegation-threatened team a crucial 2-1 away victory at Osasuna.
FRANCE
Algerian midfielder Rafik Saifi was on target for Lorient who beat Lille 3-1. The Algerian scored with three minutes remaining.
Guinean striker Larsen Toure was sent-off midway in the second-half although his side Grenoble managed to hold on to draw 0-0 with Nice.
Senegal striker Mamadou Niang scored twice for Marseille as they collected a point from a 2-2 home draw against visiting Toulouse.
Marseille came from behind twice - Niang headed the first after 63 minutes before equalising in the 74th minute. The two goals took Niang's tally for the season to 10.
Le Havre came from behind to beat Nantes 2-1, two of the goals coming from Africans.
Cameroonian striker Christian Bekamenga had put Nantes ahead but Malian Mamadou Diallo equalised against his former club.
HOLLAND
Nigerian defender Dele Adeleye scored late in the game for Sparta Rotterdam who enjoyed a resounding 4-0 win over 10-men Ajax Amsterdam.
Oussama Assaidi from Morocco scored the only goal of the game as his side De Graafschap edged out NAC Breda.
GERMANY
Zambian Christopher Katongo equalised for struggling Arminia Bielefeld in their 2-all draw with Stuttgart.
Egyptian striker Mohamed Zidan came on as a second-half substitute to give Dortmund the lead in their 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
ITALY
Ivorian Axel Cedric Konan put Lecce ahead in the 11th minute at Juventus but the two sides ended up sharing the points after drawing 2-2.
Moroccan midfielder Houcine Kharjah was on target for Siena in their 2-1 win over Napoli.
And Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari was on the score sheet as Inter Milan moved closer to another league title with a 2-0 win over Lazio.
TURKEY
The DR Congo striker Patiyo Tambwe scored early in the second-half for Hacettepe Spor who shocked giants Galatasaray 2-0.
Tunisian striker Ali Zitouni's goal for Antalyaspor was not enough to prevent a 3-2 defeat to Bursaspor.
Guinean midfielder Ibrahim Bangoura equalised before half-time for Denizlispor who went on to beat Eskisehirspor 3-2.
