Gymnasium have moved out of the relegation zone after earning their second successive victory in the Canada Life Premier League on Saturday.
The Tromode side beat Ayre United 3-2 thanks to goals from Max Stokoe, Michael McCarrick and David Rees.
Chris Duggan and Steven Parrish replied for the home side.
The victory sees Gymns move above Michael United, who lost heavily at Ramsey, by a single point and with a game in hand.
Castletown are also firmly now in the relegation battle after their 5-1 defeat at Laxey.
Meanwhile, Douglas High School Old Boys maintained their seven point lead over St Georges at the top after both sides won.
Old Boys won 2-1 on the road at St Marys whilst St Georges, who have four games in hand on the leaders, beat Corinthians 5-0 at home.
The victory saw St Georges regain second after Peel were beaten 3-2 at home by Rushen United.
