Douglas Royal have been relegated from the Canada Life Premier League after losing 7-0 to St Mary's on Saturday.
The defeat left Royal five points adrift with just one match remaining, whilst St Mary's climbed to fourth.
Gymnasium took a big step to avoiding the second relegation spot after winning 4-3 away at Michael United.
Despite the victory the Tromode side still occupy the second relegation place but are now just two points behind Michael with a game in hand.
Castletown will be looking over their shoulders, after a 2-1 defeat at Ramsey left them just four points from safety with four games remaining.
At the top of the table, Douglas High School Old Boys extended their advantage to seven points after winning 7-3 away at Ayre.
Meanwhile, Peel took advantage of St Georges having a week off, to move second, with a 3-1 win at home to Corinthians.
Elsewhere, Laxey beat Rushen 1-0 at Glen Road.
