St Georges top the Premier League by goal difference

St Georges beat Douglas High School Old Boys 4-1 at Blackberry Lane on Saturday to regain top spot in the Isle of Man Premier League.

A brace from Chris Bass junior and a goal each for skipper Sean Quaye and Frank Jones secured the win, with Mark Burman netting for the home side.

The win means the Glencrutchery Road side are still unbeaten this season.

Elsewhere, St Marys shocked Peel, by knocking them out of the Cu-Plas FA Cup at the first hurdle. St Marys thrashed their western opponents 6-1 to progress to the next round.
