Sylvans have taken the Guernsey women's football title for the sixth time in seven years, after rivals St Martin's were hit with a points deduction.
The Guernsey FA decided last week to dock St Martin's three points, but did not inform the champions-elect until after they played Rovers on Sunday.
Players thought a last-gasp equaliser in a 3-3 draw had clinched the title, not knowing it was already theirs.
Coach Lisa Sylvester said not telling them gave the match an extra edge.
"It was a little bit exciting towards the end but I think we deserved to come out with a draw," she said.
"We thought we needed a draw to win [the league]. I think the GFA were right to withhold that information at the time."
St Martin's were docked the three points for fielding an illegible player.
