Women's football in Guernsey under pressure

Football

The fragile nature of women's football in Guernsey will be discussed in an open meeting at St Sampson's High School on Tuesday.

The Guernsey Football Association is concerned about the loss of two women's teams over the past 15 months.

The meeting will allow people to put forward their ideas on ways to safeguard the future of the women's game in Guernsey.

Kay Cossington, one of the UK's leading coaches, will be talking at the event.

Cossington, who has coached at both West Ham and Millwall, will also run training sessions throughout the day.
