North are two points behind Bels but with a game in hand
Belgrave Wanderers top Guernsey's Senior County League Division One after a 3-1 victory over Guernsey Athletics on Saturday.
Bels are two points ahead of Northerners on 21 points, but North have one game in hand.
Head Coach Ian Champion said both sides played well in what were very difficult conditions on a "banana skin" pitch.
He said: "I hope we can continue to be as competitive as we have been, but there's a long way to go yet."
Champion added: "The team that picks up the league trophy this year will have to have worked really hard and dig in."
Elsewhere Guernsey Rangers beat St Andrews United 6-0 in round one of the Guernsey FA Cup and in the under-14 development league Sylvans beat Rangers 16-0.
