Peel underline title credentials

Peel continued their fine start to the Sure Mobile Premier League season on Saturday with a 2-1 victory at Glencrutchery Road.

Geordies Callum Morrissey scored the opener before Peel hit back through a Johnny Myers spot kick and a Rob Cottier tap-in.

Since their opening day defeat to Laxey the westerners have recorded six straight victories.

Meanwhile, St Mary's moved into second with a 5-1 win at Mullen y Cloie.

Ciaran McNulty netted a hat-trick for Gymns as they beat Ramsey 4-0 and Laxey defeated Old Boys 1-0 at Glen Road.

Elsewhere, Michael and Union Mills remain pointless, following defeats by Corinthians and Castletown respectively.
