The Isle of Man Ladies Hockey Squad

The Isle of Man Men's and Ladies' national squads will fly to Jersey on Friday to defend their Four Islands Hockey titles.

The competition was last held on the Isle of Man in 2007, when the Manx teams enjoyed a double success.

Manager Richard McAleer said: "Winning the last tournament acted as a catalyst for Manx Hockey.

"We are returning as sporting ambassadors for the island to retain those trophies."

The men's tournament sees the Isle of Man take on Jersey, Guernsey and Bermuda in a mini-league at the Claremont Field.

The Manx women will face Jersey, Guernsey, Bermuda and Orkney at Les Quennevais.

The tournament runs until Sunday with the finals being held in the afternoon.
