Social League business as usual

The new board promises business as usual

The new board in charge of Guernsey's Saturday Social Football Leagues has promised business as usual.

Nigel Staples, who has run Port City FC for 16 years, is the new President of the Leagues which start in September.

"I hope that we can carry on in exactly the same way, I think we run a very disciplined league," said Staples.

"The criticism levelled at the league in the past is one of indiscipline we tried to work on that and make sure our house is in order these days."

The 2009/10 season will see four new teams competing across the two divisions.
