Grouville convincingly made it into the hat for the first round of the Le Riche Cup after beating Championship side St John 6-0 on Wednesday night.

The Premiership side raced into a 5-0 lead at half time against a team who have won just one match all season in Jersey football's second tier.

Michael Teixeira got two for Grouville while Luc le Miere, Russell le Feuvre and Alex Jeffries all scored once

The win was completed with a second half goal from sub Glenn McKenna.
