Guernsey football champions Belgrave Wanderers began the defence of their title with a 3-1 win against Vale Rec at the Corbett Field on Saturday.
The defeat leaves Vale second bottom of the Senior County League Division One on goal difference.
Bottom place in the table is occupied by Rovers, who suffered their second defeat in as many weeks.
Rovers went down 5-1 at Rangers, who were playing their first game since the resignation of Mac Gallienne as boss.
Rangers are now second top in the table. They are one of five sides with three points, but unlike the other four, have played two games. The other sides have only played once.
