Truro City have signed Torquay United old boy Matt Hockley and ex-Exeter City utility-man Barry McConnell.
Twenty-six-year-old Hockley can play in defence or midfield and has joined the club on a 12-month deal after being released by Torquay in May.
McConnell, 31 , spent last season with Weston-super-Mare in Blue Square South and has also signed a one-year deal.
The pair are the first major signings for new boss Sean McCarthy since he joined the club last month.
"They are just the type of experienced players we need to move forward," vice-chairman Chris Webb told the club's website.
"We are delighted to have signed them up and I am sure they will be a big asset to the club."
Hockley made 220 appearances for Torquay while McConnell came through City's youth system and played 167 times for the club.
City were promoted to the Southern League Division One West last season after winning the Western League title.
