Truro City's new manager, former Plymouth Argyle striker Sean McCarthy, says he wants to strengthen the squad with new signings.
Speaking to BBC Radio Cornwall, he said Truro was an excellent place to start his managerial career.
"I'm hoping to speak to a couple of players in the future and try and bring them down," McCarthy said.
"Maybe get the squad up to 20 first and foremost so we've got a little bit of depth there."
McCarthy said it was too early to give details about the changes he wants to make.
"I need to assess the squad, exactly what I've got down there, and also as they're going into another division - a higher level - I need to go out and have a look at other teams in that division to see what we've got to aim for."
"Truro is an ambitious club"

The City boss said he was getting plenty of support from the rest of the management team at Truro, particularly director of football Chris Webb.
"He's said if you identify a player, we'll go out and try to sign them for you - you can't ask for more than that."
"I've already spoken to some managers including Paul Sturrock, Paul Tisdale, Paul Buckle and they're the league and non-leagues teams around us; they'll help us if we need players."
Sean McCarthy scored more than 150 goals in his professional career at teams including Plymouth Argyle, Exeter City, Swansea and Bradford City.
He retired at the end of the 2002/3 season and has also worked on the coaching staff at Portsmouth.
He added: "I think Truro is quite an ambitious club and I think that it's an excellent place for me to start my managerial career."
