Former Truro City boss Dave Leonard says he has no regrets about quitting after being told the side would not turn professional next season.

"I look back at my 16-odd months at Truro and I thoroughly enjoyed it," he told BBC Radio Cornwall. "I've got no regrets and I move on," he added.

Leonard says he did not have any job offers while he was at the club, but has had some since resigning.

"I've had a couple of offers but nothing concrete," he said.

"I want to get back as soon as I can," he added.

City's director of football Chris Webb is in temporary charge until the end of the season.

Webb told BBC Radio Cornwall that reports of turmoil in the squad following Leonard's resignation were untrue and no players have left the side or are planning to quit in the near future.

"By next weekend we'll have the same squad from next season as this season," Webb said.

Leonard's resignation did not have an effect on Truro City's players on the field. They beat bottom of the table Odd Down 8-1 on Saturday before beating Melksham Town 3-1 the following day.

Webb says the club will look for a new boss at the end of the season.

"We're looking for someone with the ability to motivate players and get players playing football," he said.

"We want someone with contacts with league and non league football," he added.
