Harvey won the junior world title in 2009

Guernsey surf kayaker Adam Harvey finished third in the juniors and joint ninth in the seniors of the British Open Championship in Northern Ireland.

In the high performance classes, the Junior HP world champion was up against some of the world's best.

Harvey said he was disappointed to finish third in the juniors but it was a different story against the adults.

He said: "I was really pleased with ninth. Hopefully it'll keep me in good step for the future."
