Harvey won the junior world title in 2009

Guernsey's Adam Harvey is preparing to take on the UK's best surf kayakers at the British Open in Northern Ireland.

The 17-year-old will compete in both the junior and adult high performance classes at the competition in Portrush, County Antrim on Friday.

Harvey, who is being supported by the Guernsey Sports Commission, is the current junior world champion.

Harvey's older brother Chris is one of the world's surf kayakers and won the British Championships in 2008.
