Hussey has been a star performer for Notts in all forms of the game
Nottinghamshire will be without batsman David Hussey for the rest of the season after the overseas star was called back early to Australia by Victoria.
Hussey has been a key figure in helping Notts top the County Championship table but he is wanted back in his homeland.
"I've got to go to a pre-season camp in Darwin," he told BBC Radio Nottingham.
"I'm captain, and I'm wrapped to be captain for Victoria, yet I'm missing out on helping Notts win the title, which would have been fantastic."
He added: "But Victoria comes first and it's one of those things."
Hussey has contributed 399 Championship runs at an average of 73.4 and he also weighed in with 524 runs as Notts reached Friends Provident t20 Finals Day.
"I've had a great time here and I'll definitely be back at some point in the future," Hussey added.
"It's a great dressing room to be part of and that's been helped by the fact that we've pushed so hard in all three competitions."
Director of cricket Mick Newell added: "Hopefully we'll have a replacement by the end of the week.
