Hussey was part of Australia's World Twenty20 squad |
David Hussey will make his return in Nottinghamshire colours this week following the approval of his visa. The Australian batsman will fly back into the UK on Tuesday, and it is thought he will be available to face Derbyshire on Friday. He said: "I'm really looking forward to coming back as Nottingham is like a second home to me. "I always check to see how the boys are doing and keep in regular touch with Chris Read, Mark Ealham and Mark Wagh." Hussey added: "I've got plenty of happy memories of Trent Bridge - to me it's probably the best ground in England - and my aim is to help the team win three Championship games and keep pushing for the title." Nottinghamshire director of cricket Mick Newell told BBC Radio Nottingham: "He likes playing at Trent Bridge and he enjoyed his four years here. "He was very keen to come back as soon as I mentioned it to him." Hussey was part of the Australia team that failed to get past the group stage in the ICC World Twenty20. Notts round off their domestic Twenty20 campaign with home games against Leicestershire (Wednesday), Derbyshire (Friday) and Lancashire (Sunday). You can hear commentary on every one of Nottinghamshire's matches in the Twenty20 Cup on BBC Radio Nottingham, BBC Sport and bbc.co.uk/nottingham
