Northants captain Nicky Boje has signed a new one-year contract that will see him lead the club until the end of the 2010 season. Boje has skippered the side for the last two seasons and recently led the Steelbacks to Twenty20 finals day. Boje told the club's website: "I'm delighted. I think we have some good things going on here at the club." Head coach David Capel commented: "I enjoy working and look forward to continuing to work with Nicky." Boje joined Northants for the last few weeks of the 2007 season and was made skipper for the following campaign. The South African played in 43 Tests and 115 One Day Internationals. He finished his career with exactly 100 Test wickets. Boje joins Alex Wakely, Jack Brooks, David Willey and Stephen Peters in signing new contracts with the club.
