 Capel replaced Kepler Wessels as head coach at Wantage Road |
Northants head coach David Capel is doing a "fantastic" job at Wantage Road, according to club chief executive Mark Tagg. Capel took the county to finals day in the Twenty20 Cup earlier this month and Tagg wants him to build on that success over the coming seasons. "He's doing a fantastic job and he'll be with us for a long time hopefully," Tagg told BBC Radio Northampton. "He has got a rolling contract so there is no termination date." Tagg added: "It's a situation we're comfortable with and I'm sure it's something David's comfortable with. He's doing a great job and we're hoping for many many years of success." Capel, 46, became head coach of the county at the end of 2006 after a spell as academy coach.
