Northampton Town's Danny Jackman is hopeful of playing for the club again despite his recent transfer request.
The 26-year-old defender is currently undergoing treatment on a knee injury and recently had a transfer request turned down by the Cobblers management.
Jackman told BBC Radio Northampton: "I still give 100% effort whether there's a transfer request or not.
"I'm still relatively happy here and it's just unfortunate we're not playing in the league above."
A bid for Jackman from an unknown club has already been turned down.
"If anyone gets an offer to go to a higher level in their work, then they would do. I want to be playing as high as I can for as long as I can," the player added.
Jackman's knee injury has so far prevented him from appearing for the Cobblers this season.
"My knee's still sore. I had a scan on it last week and it's showing that there's a bit of cartilage flaking. There's also bone bruising on the joint itself and I might need an operation."
Jackman also denied that the transfer request has anything to do with his absence.
"The majority of people have been fantastic and wished me luck wherever I end up. They appreciate that I have tried my hardest since I've been here.
"I'm an honest professional and I can't alter what [other] people think of me. I know that I have got an injury. I've spoken to the manager and he knows the situation."
