Northampton Town goalkeeper Chris Dunn says he is glad to be back in form, after recent mistakes against Burton.

Dunn made amends for his errors by saving twice in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round penalty shoot-out, as the Cobblers beat Wycombe Wanderers

"It was fortunate I had a game so soon, to get over Saturday," Dunn told BBC Radio Northampton.

"Everyone prefers not to go to penalties. But the keeper can be the hero, and I guessed right."

However, the 21-year-old says the side are disappointed to have conceded two goals in the match, which ended 2-2.

"To concede in injury time was a bit gutting," he said.

"We'll look at the video and see if there's anything we can do differently."

Northampton manager Stuart Gray added his satisfaction at seeing his goalkeeper return to form.

"The pleasing thing from the game is that Chris Dunn can gain a lot of confidence.

"There's always another game and this game probably didn't come round quick enough for Chris. All credit to him, he's stood up to be counted and he's done very well."

The draw for the next round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy is on Saturday, and Dunn added that the side would relish a run in the competition.

"It's there for the taking. You see these League One or Two teams getting to Wembley and it would be nice for us to do it as well.

"We've got to play with the same passion and commitment and build on this."
