Parry removed key batsmen Brown and Walters in the Surrey win |
Stephen Parry has said he hopes Lancashire's Pro40 win against Surrey bodes well for the Twenty20 last eight. The left-arm spinner took vital wickets as the Red Rose county secured an eight-run victory at Old Trafford. "It's brilliant to get a win and momentum going into the next game," Parry told BBC Radio Manchester. "Our tails have been up all season and we're really looking forward to the Twenty20 quarter finals against Somerset on Tuesday." "It feels a while since the Twenty20s and even the 50 overs (Friends Provident Trophy) semi final the other week but you soon get back into the swing of it," he added. "You have to or you'll end up being on the wrong side. I'm really looking forward to Tuesday because it's probably the biggest game I'll have probably played in, in my life. "Every game is a big game but, if we win, we'll go into the final stages so Somerset and us will both want to be there so it'll be a great game to watch. "This is why you play cricket, as a lad from Lancashire, you want to play in these games."
