Parry has been a Twenty20 regular for Lancashire this season |
Lancashire chief executive Jim Cumbes has said he has been impressed with the displays of spinner Stephen Parry. The 20-year-old has been widely lauded for his bowling which has been very successful in the Twenty20 format. Cumbes told BBC Radio Manchester: "Of the young players that have been selected, you think straightaway of someone like Stephen Parry. "Last season if anybody had mentioned his name you'd say 'Who are you talking about?' - now he's come to the fore." "Paul Horton, perhaps, hasn't been quite the player he was last year but he's done fantastically in the one day game," he added. "So I think all the players have stepped up to the mark as it were and I think it's been a very satisfactory start taken as a whole, taken all round. "So the first half of the season has been very good, very good really."
