Sutton ready for Worcestershire

Luke Sutton
Sutton's side are currently fourth in Division One

Luke Sutton believes Lancashire will be ready to face Worcestershire after being Sunday's Friends Provident Trophy semi-final defeat by Hampshire.

The men from Old Trafford need a positive response in the County Championship after their 64-run defeat.

The 32-year-old wicketkeeper told BBC Radio Manchester: "We've got some great professionals in our changing room and we'll be ready to go.

"We need to click up our Championship play a couple of gears I think."

He added: "Worcestershire have been a struggling side but what effect the semi-final defeat will have on us is a good question.

"If you look at their side on paper, they've got some good players so it will be a good test for us."
