David Willey reaches his half century at Grace Road

All-rounder Andrew Hall and debutant David Willey shared a sixth-wicket partnership of 163 to get Northants out of trouble against Leciestershire.

The pair came together with Northants struggling on 111-5 and turned the innings around before Willey (60) became AJ Harris' third victim.

The veteran seamer also claimed the wickets of opener Ben Howgego and Nicky Boje on his way to figures of 3-64.

But Hall ended the day unbeaten on 95, including 11 fours and a six.
