Dolby is not ruling out victory

Tottenham Hotspur Superleague Formula car

Leicestershire driver Craig Dolby says his second-placed side Tottenham can win the Superleague Formula.

Spurs are 58 points behind Liverpool ahead of the penultimate round at Monza on 3-4 October.

Dolby, from Melton Mowbray, told the Superleague Formula website: "All Adrian (Valles) and Liverpool need is a bad result like we had at Estoril.

"There's 200 points left on the table and I'm going to be trying to get most of them, so who knows."

This unique championship links football and motor racing with each of the 19 cars in team colours.

The 21-year-old said he was aiming high for Monza.

"I'd like to have two podiums to be honest and a race win would definitely be nice," he said.

But I've never been there before so I'm going to have fun learning the circuit.

"There's going to be some very quick guys, like Pantano. It's his home circuit and was on pole there in GP2 last season. But hopefully I can be right up there fighting for the race win."
