Tottenham have become the first Premier League club to sign up for the new Superleague Formula motor racing championship.
This new series sees 750 horsepower, V12 single-seater cars adorned in football club colours taking part in a six-round championship.
"It's a very exciting concept," Tottenham Hotspur chief executive Paul Barber told BBC London 94.9.
"We decided from a brand profile point of view this was a good thing."
The six-round championship starts at Donington Park at the end of August.

Superleague Formula organisers have now signed up 16 clubs, with another four to come, including a second Premier League side. Teams already signed up include AC Milan, Olympiakos, Porto and Glasgow Rangers.
"There's the international profile the competition will give us," Barber continued. "The races will take place all over Europe and hopefully the Middle East and Far East as well.
"Secondly it's a chance for us to earn revenue. Our fans will be able to go to the races and get behind our racing team as well as the football team."
Spurs will announce their driver in the near future. The car will be unveiled on Sunday when they host AS Roma in a pre-season friendly, a game you can hear live on BBC London 94.9.
