AJ Harris was a key player in Notts' 2005 County Championship triumph |
Leicestershire have signed former Nottinghamshire bowler AJ Harris on a one-year deal. The 35-year-old seamer was released by Nottinghamshire when his contract expired at the end of season. Leicestershire chief executive David Smith told the club website: "We know we have a good performer who will do a good job for us in the short term." "AJ hasn't had a massive amount of cricket in the last two years but he is keen to extend his career." Smith added: "He has got a decent record, too, with more than 400 first-class wickets." Harris moved to Trent Bridge from Derbyshire in 2000, and in 2005 was a key player in the side that brought the County Championship title back to Trent Bridge for the first time in 18 years.
