Leicester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson believes Yakubu's debut goal in the 1-1 draw away with Preston North End will be the first of many for his new club.
Yakubu, who is on loan from Everton until the end of the season, put his side ahead with a composed finish from inside the area in the second half.
"The quality Yakubu has is incredible," Eriksson told BBC Radio Leicester.
"He's strong and if he gets the ball to feet he keeps it. He scored his first goal and it will not be the last."
Yakubu, who went close with two other chances, added: "I enjoyed it. It was really good. My fitness got much better and hopefully the next game will be better again.
"I only trained for two or three days so the players need to get to know me but I feel good.
"When you score goals it gives you confidence and the goal has come already and I believe I will score more. The fans have already made me feel at home."
