After making 370 in their first innings the tourists dismissed Somerset for just 183 with Matthew Wood the only batsman to pass 50. The home side's inexperienced batting line-up was no match for Test bowler King who ended with four for 48 from 19 overs. King's side stretched their lead to 453 by the close of play on the second day with Donovan Bravo 77 not out having struck 12 fours. Arul Suppiah took three wickets for Somerset but Bravo and captain Ryan Hinds, 75, ensured a huge lead for West Indies.
