Chris Goode's side continued their domination of the Northants League |
Finedon Dolben secured the Northants League title for the ninth time in 12 seasons following a thrilling climax to the Premier Division season. Chris Goode's team finished level on 471 points with Peterborough Town but secured the trophy by virtue of winning 16 matches to Peterborough's 15. Both teams signed off with victories, Finedon beating Rushden and Peterborough overcoming Wollaston. Northampton Saints, in third, thrashed Old Northamptonians by 118 runs. There were also last-day victories for Stony Stratford, who beat relegated Wellingborough Town, and Burton Latimer. The game between Brixworth and Northamptonshire Academy was cut short by rain. Meanwhile, Horton House's nine-wicket victory over Old Wellingburians earned them the Division One trophy and a return to the top flight in 2011.
