Guernsey U19 cricketers beat Denmark in Euro qualifier

Guernsey under-19 cricketers celebrate
The Guernsey side finished fifth overall

Guernsey won their final game at the ICC European Under 19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2010.

Having lost to Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands and Jersey the island side faced Denmark on the final day of competition on Wednesday.

Guernsey put Denmark in to bat at Laurelvale in Northern Ireland and bowled them out for 139 in 43.4 overs.

Guernsey then took just 25.2 overs to reach their target, losing six wickets in the process.

The result means Guernsey finish fifth in the tournament, one place above bottom-placed Denmark.
