Guernsey's Max Barber took home three trophies from the 2010 Bisley shoot in Surrey, which finished on Saturday.

The Elizabeth College student beat off competition from all of Britain's cadet rifleman to win the grand aggregate at the schools' meeting.

The rifleman lifted The Fox Quaich trophy for the top individual score in the Ashburton Shield team event.

He completed his haul of silverware with the Iveagh Trophy by setting the highest score at 500 yards.

Guernsey teammate Ollie Collas placed third in the Alexandra rifle competition after a tense tie-shoot at 600 yards with five other marksmen who had also scored maximum points.

Jonny Branch placed third in the Conan Doyle at 900 yards, after a tie-shoot between Branch and three others.

Nick Mace was among the leaders of the Queen's Prize before Saturday's final when he fell behind while shooting at 900 and 1,00 yards to finish four points behind the eventual winner in 27th place.

Brothers Adam and Peter Jory finished in 21st and 53rd place respectively.

The wins followed on from last year when Guernsey shooters won two team and five individual titles at the prestigious festival, which was their biggest haul of silverware since the island started competing in the 1890s.
