Cricket ball, stumps and bails

Cobo Tigers clinched the 2010 Wave Telecom Guernsey Cricket Association Championship with an eight-wicket win over PKF Wanderers on Monday.

Wanderers batted first, scoring 168-6 in their 30 overs, including a fluent 79 from Iain Atchinson.

In reply, Cobo lost Kris Moherndl and Peter Vidamour cheaply before Jeremy Frith and skipper Stuart Le Prevost put together a century partnership.

Cobo eventually passed the target for the loss of just two wickets.

The win sees Cobo Tigers finish their Championship campaign unbeaten in their four matches, 62 points ahead of second-placed Wanderers who still have one game remaining.
