Two Guernsey cricketers have been offered the opportunity of a lifetime to train with Sussex at their winter training camp in South Africa.

The 2007 County Champions have invited Jamie Nussbaumer and Will Peatfield to train with them over the winter.

Nussbaumer thinks the month-long intensive course will improve all aspects of his game.

He said his coach was also keen that they get a chance to find out about the culture of South Africa.

Nussbaumer said: "The coach Mark Davis, one of the Sussex guys, is actually from South Africa and he's very keen for, on the weekend, us guys to have a look around and get a bit of the culture as well, so all in all it promises to be a great trip."

Nussbaumer was part of the Guernsey Cricket Team which finished third in the World Cricket League Division Six tournament in Singapore in September.
